About Food

Epicurian Food Goodies

I've decided to write about one of my favorite subjects, Food. Food with a capital F, because I really like food. Mostly I like good food, no I love good food, I will go out of my way to find good food.

It doesn't have to be mountains of food, it can be small amounts of food. But Good Food is something I'm crazy about. I have a good instinct about food, I can smell it a mile away, especially Good Food, my nose leads me to it. And I can smell bad food even further away, and usually manage to avoid it.

However, living where I do, good, really, really, good food can be hard to find. This area tends toward deep fried foods, not just potatoes, but steaks, the infamous Chicken Fried Steak, which when done right isn't really bad, just not healthy, and I do differentiate between good, bad and healthy. Some good food is really bad, health wise, and I've had to learn about that too, sadly.

So, I'll be writing about my food adventures, both out eating at local, not so local and far away, restaurants, friend's homes, and about my cooking adventures. I may even, some times, throw in a recipe or two. Remember, I like to use spices in food that most people go, "Ewww! How could you?" at, but they tend to taste good anyway. I do have a habit on not measuring, but is it is one of my recipes I'll try to remember to measure first.

So, food, Anything and Everything About food. Enjoy. Oh, have you ever had Cinnamon Chicken? or Tuna Salad with Balsamic vinegar, olive oil and hot rice noodles? well there are veggies in it too, but think about this, it's good!

(Oh, did I mention, I cook for hounds, I have a web site that has great dog treats, I invent dog treats. But I started cooking for people, so you might find hound recipes too.)

Thanks Chris, your blogs encouraged me to take up the pen, figuratively and start writing again. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
